Add Name and Date on Photo Online
Type your name and the date the photo was taken, choose where it appears, and download a photo resized to your exam’s pixel size and KB limit — in one step.
Pick your exam preset or type the pixel size from your notification. The name and date are printed inside that size.
Which forms need the name and date on the photo?
Some recruitment and entrance forms ask for the candidate’s name and the date of photograph printed below the photo. It shows the photo is recent and belongs to you. Always follow the current notification — rules change between years and exams.
SSC has moved to capturing photos live in the application, so many SSC candidates no longer upload a photo file. If your form still asks for an uploaded photo with name and date, use the preset for your exam below.

How to use it
- Upload a recent photo with a plain light background.
- Choose your exam preset or enter the width, height, and KB limit.
- Type your name and the date of photo; choose a strip below the photo or text over its bottom edge.
- Crop so your face is centred above the text, then process and download.
Common mistakes
- Using today’s date when the photo was taken earlier — enter the actual date of photo.
- Name spelled differently from the application form.
- Text covering the chin or face — use the strip below the photo instead.
- Tiny, unreadable text on very small photos — keep the name short (initials are fine if allowed).
- Adding the date to a photo older than the notification allows.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add my name and date on a photo for an exam?
Upload the photo, pick your exam preset or enter the pixel size, type your name and date of photo, and process. KbSnap prints the text and compresses to the KB limit in one step.
What date format is used?
The date is printed as DD/MM/YYYY after “DOP:”, for example DOP: 24/09/2026, and the name in capital letters.
Should the text be on the photo or below it?
Most forms expect it below the face. The “white strip below the photo” option keeps your face fully visible; the overlay option prints over the bottom edge.
Can I add only the date or only the name?
Yes. Leave either field empty and only the other line is printed.
Does the photo still meet the pixel size?
Yes. The name and date are printed inside the width and height you choose, so the final file has exactly those dimensions.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
