Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The numbers are added by your browser on your device and the PDF is never sent to KbSnap or anyone else.
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes. Tick “Don’t number the first page” and numbering starts on page 2, beginning with your chosen start number.
Can I start from a number other than 1?
Yes. Set Start at to any number from 0 to 9999, for example to continue from an earlier document.
Does adding numbers change the rest of the page?
No. Only the number is drawn on top; text, images and links stay as they were and text stays selectable.
Will numbers be upright on landscape or rotated pages?
Yes. The position is worked out from the page as it is displayed, so numbers sit upright in the corner you chose.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password in your PDF viewer, save a copy, and add that instead.
