Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Pages are rendered and saved as images by your browser on your device. KbSnap never receives the file.
Which resolution (DPI) should I pick?
150 DPI suits most online forms and sharing. Choose 300 DPI for printing or very small text, and 72 DPI when you need the smallest files.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Choose “Choose pages” and type pages or ranges, for example 1-3, 5.
Can I make each JPG smaller than 100KB?
Yes. Pick a maximum size per image. KbSnap lowers JPEG quality first and reduces pixels only if a page still does not fit.
JPG or PNG?
JPG is much smaller and accepted everywhere. PNG is lossless and best for crisp diagrams, but files are larger.
Does it work on password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password in your PDF viewer, save a copy, then add it again.
