PNG to JPG Converter

Many forms accept only JPG, and PNG photos are often several MB. Convert PNGs to compact JPGs, with transparent backgrounds filled white.

When to convert PNG to JPG

PNG is lossless, which makes photos and scans very large. JPG uses lossy compression tuned for photos, so the same picture is typically a fraction of the size with no visible difference at high quality.

JPG has no transparency. KbSnap paints transparent areas white — what forms usually expect — instead of the black background some converters produce.

How to use it

  1. Choose PNG files (screenshots, scans or exported images).
  2. Keep Quality at 90%, or set a maximum file size.
  3. Press Convert and compare before and after.
  4. Download the JPGs one by one or as a ZIP.

Tips

  • Screenshots with small text look best at 85–95% quality.
  • Logos and line art may stay sharper as PNG — compare before downloading.
  • Use Max file size when a form gives a KB limit.
  • Transparent backgrounds become white.

Frequently asked questions

Will PNG to JPG lose quality?

Slightly, but at 90% quality it is not visible for photos and scans.

What happens to transparent backgrounds?

They become white, because JPG cannot store transparency.

How much smaller will the file be?

For photos and scans, JPG is usually several times smaller. The exact saving is shown for each file.

Can I convert many PNGs at once?

Yes, up to 20 files, then download them as a ZIP.

Can I set a KB limit?

Yes. Switch to Max file size and pick 50KB, 100KB or a custom size.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are converted by your browser on your device and never sent to KbSnap or anyone else.
