Frequently Asked Questions

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Every KbSnap tool, for photos, signatures and PDFs, works in your browser. Cropping, resizing, compressing and merging all happen on your device, and your files are never uploaded.

Will this work for my exam?

KbSnap has presets for 112 Indian exams (SSC, NEET, UPSC, IBPS, RRB, GATE, state PSCs and more); 15 of them are checked against the current official notification. For any other exam, enter the pixel size and KB limit from your notification. Always confirm the final rule in the official notice.

Can I adjust brightness and contrast?

Yes. Brightness, contrast, and signature-cleanup sliders help you fine-tune your image before download.

What file format do I get?

A JPEG file compressed to your exam's exact KB range. If you upload PNG, HEIC, or WebP, we re-encode to real JPEG automatically.

How do I resize a photo to 20KB or 50KB?

Open Resize Image in KB, add your photo, type 20 or 50 as the KB limit and set the pixel size your form asks for. The tool shows the final file size before you download. If a photo will not go that low at full size, use a smaller pixel size.

How do I compress a PDF to 100KB or 200KB?

Open Compress PDF, add the file and pick 100KB, 200KB or a custom limit. Compression is best effort: text-heavy and short PDFs shrink easily, while long scanned PDFs may need fewer pages or a lower scan quality to fit.

Does KbSnap work for PDFs and images, not only exams?

Yes. Besides the exam presets, there are general tools to resize and compress images, convert HEIC, PNG and WebP to JPG, make passport size photos, and compress, merge, split, organize and convert PDFs, for any form or portal.

Is KbSnap free?

Yes. All tools are free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark. The site is supported by ads.
