What the KPSC (Kerala PSC) size rules mean

  • The KPSC (Kerala PSC) photo is a portrait (3:4), 1.33 times taller than it is wide at 150×200 pixels.
  • Its 30KB photo limit is stricter than the typical 50KB across the 31 state commission exams on KbSnap (28 of 31 allow a larger file).
  • The signature box is a wide box (3:2), 1.5 times wider than it is tall at 150×100 pixels, 20–30KB.

Tips for this spec

  • The photo must be at least 20KB as well as at most 30KB. A file that is too small is rejected too, so check both numbers in the result before you download.
  • A 20KB minimum is high for a signature. Scan or photograph it in good light at full resolution; a tiny, heavily compressed source may not reach the minimum.

Same photo and signature spec: Kerala Police. If you are applying to these too, files made here should also fit — but confirm each notification, since specs change between cycles.

Verify the current requirement on the official KPSC (Kerala PSC) website before you upload. Sizes can change with each notification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What photo size does KbSnap use for KPSC (Kerala PSC)?

The KbSnap preset for the KPSC (Kerala PSC) photo is 150×200px, 20–30KB, in JPG format. Confirm these numbers in your current notification before you upload, and aim for the middle of the KB range so a re-save does not push the file over the limit.

What signature size does KbSnap use for KPSC (Kerala PSC)?

The KbSnap preset for the KPSC (Kerala PSC) signature is 150×100px, 20–30KB. Sign on plain white paper in the ink colour your notification asks for (black is the safest choice) and crop tightly so the signature is clearly readable.

How do I reduce my KPSC (Kerala PSC) signature to 20–30KB?

Upload your scanned signature in the Signature step above, adjust the crop, and process it. KbSnap resizes it to 150×100px and compresses it into the 20–30KB range, then shows a pass/fail check before you download.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Cropping, resizing, and compression all happen in your browser using the Canvas API. The file never leaves your device.

Why do different exams need different sizes?

Each exam body sets its own portal validation rules independently — there's no shared standard across UPSC, SSC, banking, and state PSCs.
