SSC now captures your photo live
According to SSC's recent notices, the photograph is captured live through the online application module or the mySSC app — you stand or sit in front of the camera when prompted. In that case you do not upload a photo file at all.
Your signature is still uploaded as an image: JPEG, 10–20KB, about 6.0 cm wide × 2.0 cm high. SSC's notices say blurred or "miniature" signatures are rejected. The presets here are 708×236 pixels (6 × 2 cm at 300 DPI); crop tightly so the signature fills the box.
