Signature Resize 10KB to 20KB
Many forms reject a signature that is under 10KB as well as one over 20KB. This tool targets both limits, cleans the paper background, and shows a pass/fail check before you download.
The minimum of 10KB is enforced automatically. Change the pixel size to match your form.
Why forms ask for a signature between 10KB and 20KB
Recruitment portals set a maximum to keep uploads fast and a minimum so the signature is not a tiny, unreadable image. SSC instructions, for example, list "miniature" signatures as a common rejection reason and ask that the signature fills most of the box.
A signature is mostly white paper, so it compresses easily below 10KB. That is why a plain "compress to 20KB" tool can produce a file that is too small. Targeting the 10–20KB range — ideally around 12–18KB — avoids both problems.

How to use it
- Sign on plain white paper in the ink colour your form asks for (black is the safest choice) and take a clear photo or scan.
- Upload it and choose a preset or type the pixel size from your form.
- Crop tightly so the signature fills most of the box, and keep background cleanup on.
- Process and confirm the result is between 10KB and 20KB, then download the JPG.
Why signatures get rejected
- Signature is too small inside the image ("miniature") — crop closer.
- File is under the minimum KB — use this tool instead of a max-only compressor.
- Written in capital letters when the form asks for a running signature.
- Blurry or shadowed photo — sign with a darker pen and shoot in daylight.
- Wrong pixel dimensions even though the KB size is correct.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize my signature between 10KB and 20KB?
Upload the signature, choose a preset or pixel size, crop tightly, and process. KbSnap compresses into the 10–20KB range and shows a pass or fail check.
My signature file is only 5KB. How do I increase it to 10KB?
This tool enforces the 10KB minimum by using higher JPEG quality. If it is still too small, increase the pixel dimensions slightly.
Which pixel size should I use?
Use the exact size in your notification. Common exam sizes are around 140×60 px, but they vary, so check the exam pages on KbSnap or the official notice.
Black or blue ink?
Most forms accept black or dark blue ink on white paper. Some specify one colour — follow your notification.
Can I use a signature drawn on a phone screen?
Only if the form allows it. Most exam portals expect a signature on paper that is scanned or photographed.
Is my signature uploaded?
No. It is processed on your device and never sent to KbSnap.
