What the IBPS (PO/Clerk) size rules mean
- The IBPS (PO/Clerk) photo is a portrait, 1.15 times taller than it is wide at 200×230 pixels.
- Its 50KB photo limit is the same as the typical limit across the 12 banking exams on KbSnap.
- The signature box is a wide box (7:3), 2.3 times wider than it is tall at 140×60 pixels, 10–20KB.
Tips for this spec
- The photo must be at least 20KB as well as at most 50KB. A file that is too small is rejected too, so check both numbers in the result before you download.
- A 10KB minimum is high for a signature. Scan or photograph it in good light at full resolution; a tiny, heavily compressed source may not reach the minimum.
Same photo and signature spec: IOCL Recruitment, SBI Clerk, SBI PO, RBI Grade B, SBI CBO, IDBI Assistant Manager, Bank of India PO, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, Central Bank of India, RBI Assistant, NICL (AO & Assistant). If you are applying to these too, files made here should also fit — but confirm each notification, since specs change between cycles.
Verify the current requirement on the official IBPS (PO/Clerk) website before you upload. Sizes can change with each notification.
Common reasons IBPS (PO/Clerk) uploads are rejected
- The photo should be 200×230 pixels and 20–50KB. A photo under 20KB is as likely to fail as one over 50KB.
- The signature must be in black ink, about 140×60 pixels and 10–20KB. Blue ink or a pencil signature does not meet the rule.
- The left thumb impression (240×240 pixels, 20–50KB) and the handwritten declaration (800×400 pixels, 50–100KB) are separate uploads with their own size limits. Using the photo settings for them is a common mistake.
- A live photo is also taken during the application, so the uploaded photo and the live photo should show you looking the same.

How to resize your IBPS (PO/Clerk) documents
- 1. Upload: choose a clear JPG, PNG, or iPhone HEIC photo or scan.
- 2. Crop: frame your face or signature inside the box shown for each document.
- 3. Process: KbSnap resizes to the exact pixels and compresses into the allowed KB range.
- 4. Check and download: confirm the pass/fail result, then upload the file to the IBPS (PO/Clerk) portal.
Files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to KbSnap.

What photo size does KbSnap use for IBPS (PO/Clerk)?
The KbSnap preset for the IBPS (PO/Clerk) photo is 200×230px, 20–50KB, in JPG format. Confirm these numbers in your current notification before you upload, and aim for the middle of the KB range so a re-save does not push the file over the limit.
What signature size does KbSnap use for IBPS (PO/Clerk)?
The KbSnap preset for the IBPS (PO/Clerk) signature is 140×60px, 10–20KB. Sign on plain white paper in the ink colour your notification asks for (black is the safest choice) and crop tightly so the signature is clearly readable.
How do I reduce my IBPS (PO/Clerk) signature to 10–20KB?
Upload your scanned signature in the Signature step above, adjust the crop, and process it. KbSnap resizes it to 140×60px and compresses it into the 10–20KB range, then shows a pass/fail check before you download.
Any special rules for IBPS (PO/Clerk)?
The IBPS notification also asks for a left thumb impression (240×240 pixels, 20–50KB) and a handwritten declaration (800×400 pixels, 50–100KB), and a live photo is captured during the application. The signature must be in black ink.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping, resizing, and compression all happen in your browser using the Canvas API. The file never leaves your device.
Why do different exams need different sizes?
Each exam body sets its own portal validation rules independently — there's no shared standard across UPSC, SSC, banking, and state PSCs.
