Photo and signature rules change from one recruitment cycle to the next. This page records which KbSnap presets have been checked against the official notification, when, and against which document.

GATE 2027 (IIT Madras): colour passport-size photo (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm), white background, face covering 60–70% of the image, JPEG/JPG, aspect ratio (width:height) between 0.66 and 0.89, between 200×260 and 530×690 pixels, 5–600KB. Signature in black or dark blue ink, JPEG/JPG, width 2.75–3.75 times the height, between 250×80 and 580×180 pixels, 3–300KB, with the signature covering 70–80% of the cropped image. KbSnap outputs a 413×531 photo and a 560×160 signature, which fit these limits.

KbSnap targets 10–30KB so the file satisfies both. A live photograph is also captured.

The remaining 97 presets have not been checked against an official notification yet. They still work as a starting point, and their exam pages say so. Always confirm the pixel size, KB range and background rules in your own notification before you upload.
